I stood on stage at WordCamp Eket 2026, under the theme “From Idea to Income,” ready to deliver a session titled “Structure Before Traffic: Building a Website That Actually Converts.” Within minutes, I could tell this wasn’t going to feel like another talk about SEO tricks or traffic hacks, and that was exactly my plan.
I opened with a question that quieted the room: what is the point of more visitors landing on a website that was never built to convert them?
That single question set the tone for everything I taught next.
The Framework I Introduced
I walked the room through what I call the Conversion Triangle, a simple but powerful way to look at any website meant to grow a business. I broke it down into three parts.
Message: What the website is actually saying, and whether it speaks to the visitor’s real problem or just describes the business owner’s services.
Model: The structure and flow of the website itself, how a visitor moves from curiosity to decision without getting lost or distracted.
Method: The specific systems in place, from WordPress setup to calls to action, that turn interest into income.
I explained that most founders chase traffic before they fix any of these three. The result is a website that receives visitors and loses them just as fast.
What I Watched Happen In That Room
What told me the session was landing wasn’t just the framework itself. It was how I grounded every point in real situations I have worked through with founders, instead of theory pulled from a textbook. People who came expecting a technical WordPress session left with a way of thinking that applies long before a single plugin gets installed.
I noticed people taking notes well past the point where most talks lose a room’s attention, and conversations about the Conversion Triangle kept going long after I stepped off that stage.
Why I Teach This Way
This is how I show up everywhere I teach, whether I am on a stage, training founders through LAskill, or recording for my audience on The StructuredFounder Podcast. I teach from what I have actually tested with real businesses, not from what sounds good in theory.
For the founders in that room at WordCamp Eket, the takeaway I left them with was simple but uncomfortable. Traffic was never the problem. Structure was.
And once that clicks, everything else about building a website that earns income, not just visits, becomes easier to see.
